Make an electro kettle that would send a note to your tumblr,twitter,whatever that it just boiled.

Adding to that a bit, it would be cool if you could remote boil your kettle with a mobile app / over the web and it would give you a countdown timer as to when it will be finished boiling.

A man is involved in an experiment to send him back in time to (for argument’s sake) the dark ages. However, as he passes through, the opening in space time begins to collapse. One of the enterprising young engineers on the other side has an idea - just before it closes completely, he manages to jam a piece of copper pipe through the remaining hole, keeping it open. Until they can figure out how to widen the hole again, the man must survive in the middle ages using only technology and items which will fit through the pipe - for example a USB cable to charge whatever electronic items he had on him at the time.

At one point he might have been challenged to a duel or joust with a much larger man than him - when he tells his colleagues this, they poke through some bullets and a copy of the improvised munitions handbook.

Had this idea for an app a little while back, thought I would share it. I want to be able to share where I’m going to be with my friends. Foursquare is great for telling friends where i am now, but by the time my friends actually see it I’m most of the time already gone. I’m constantly texting friends on a Friday night asking them what their plans are and if they want to hang out. It would be nice if I could open up an app and see where all my friends are gonna be, when they are gonna be there, and how long they are gonna be there for. Then I could just tap a button that would notify them that I’m joining them. Once I arrive at the destination my friend is automatically notified that I am here. The logic behind sharing where you are gonna be is that in doing so you are saying, “I’ll be here, you are welcome to join me”. Obviously you could set who could see the post since sometimes you only want to hangout with certain people. I think this would eliminate the countless txts sent back and forth trying to figure out what my friend’s plans are. Arrived sort of does this but I think it falls a bit short. Perhaps soon I will write a post about these shortcomings and some possible solutions.

Anyway, just an idea I had.

I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it before, but opening a store that would sell games and records sounds amazing. I think it’d be awesome to focus on the classics, like Zelda (a lot of Zelda), Mario, Sonic, etc… ut a lot of recent stuff too for games. None of the stupid generic FPS games. Well, at least a little, because that would be a stupid business move not to, at least at the start. Selling awesome rare RPG games would be our specialty. For records, I would focus on metal and rock, and have the classic records, like Master of Puppets, Rust in Peace, and Boston, as well as newer stuff that’s hard to find like Between the Buried and Me and Trivium. But nothing too limitingthough ; whatever is good is good and I would sell it. I’d also deck out the place in a bunch of awesome game and music posters, of course. I wouldn’t leave any of the walls bare. If only running a business didn’t seem like such a pain in the ass.

I starting a plan for a new horror movie. Picture this. The camera is following a guy from behind in the dark and rain. You hear a voice say from an alley, hey can you give me a light? The person the camera is following holds up a zippo to light the guys cig, but then pulls out a can of wd-40 and sprays it at the zippo, creating a flamethrower and facially disfiguring the guy. The character runs down the alley with the man lying on the ground screaming. At first the guy is just a violent hood like Dally Winston or Alex from a clockwork orange but as the story goes on, he becomes more insane, more addicted to violence, and needs more of it to cope, like a heroin addiction. His crimes get more and more terrible and obscene every time.

Where you type in your measurements/body type/etc, then type in your diet/workout goals (whether weight or inches or sizes whatever) and it shows you pictures of celebrities/models/beautiful people with similar body types to inspire you.

Like I’d never ever ever have Natalie Portman’s figure, but maybe if I work out hard enough and eat right I can look Christina Hendricks-ish (HA, okay, in my dreams, but if I had this app I would know which celebrity I could have a chance of looking like).

I don’t at all like this harmful, eating disorder thinspo… and I don’t feel like it’s really a good idea to post lots of thinspo on Tumblr since there are so many ladies recovering from eating disorders, or just self-conscious ladies in general, but I also think lots of people do respond well to photos as motivation, so if you could find photos of women with similar shapes weights more similar to your own, you could have better, healthier results.

Basically I’m just a touch overweight (shocker!) so I’d like to get to a healthy BMI, and inspiration helps because the calorie counter app I have depresses me.
